HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF?

What is the most important thing to you in life?

God, love, family, health, friends, happiness, knowledge…..?

The following comment was made by an individual responding to a recent poll about how important God is in our lives:

“What has he done for me? Is my life depending on him or is my life depending on what I’m doing with it? My life is well without believing in him. I really don’t care about someone I never knew, because if I do I should care for all people I don’t even know. And doing that is something not very sane. It’s not normal. I don’t care for people I don’t know because they can be all bad as far as I know.”

Proverbs 30:3 I neither learned wisdom Nor have knowledge of the Holy One.

WOW! Do you see what this person is saying? IT IS NOT NORMAL TO CARE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE! He does not want to be abnormal and care about God, who he does not know, may mean that he would have to care about other people, who this person does not know. How sad! This is the epitome of an unsaved person who does not want to know the God who sent His only Son to take on the flesh of a man of this world and sacrifice Himself on the CROSS spilling His blood for the sins of the world so that person can be saved from eternal judgment. Why would he want that?

Ecclesiastes 6:12 For who knows what is good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he passes like a shadow? Who can tell a man what will happen after him under the sun?

Those who do not know God and say that He does not exist and like to make disparaging remarks about those who do believe in God are scared to the core to actually try to know God because they are intensely afraid that they may find out that God really exists. They only think in terms of an entity of God in a single dimension.  They identify God as a mythical entity. In other words they don’t know much about the subject of God, only what they imagine He is like in their own minds.

Job 18:21 Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, And this is the place of him who does not know God.”

How do you feel about yourself?

Are you normal or abnormal? Down deep inside where only you know how you think and feel, do you have a perfect feeling about yourself? Have you successfully fulfilled your dreams in life? Have you been a failure about any important things? Are you so filled with joy that there is no room for more? Do you feel an emptiness that needs filling? What do you really care about? These are all important questions that anyone should be concerned about! It doesn’t make any difference where on earth you live; they are all pertinent to you.

Job 42: 2, 5-6  ” I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You “. I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

You are hearing His voice now! This is how God speaks to your heart! Today is a day of salvation! God wants more than anything to give you His blessings. He will share His glory with you if you will receive Him into your heart.

I pray that your response will be to allow God into your life so he can pour out His grace upon you, that you may have eternal life from this time forward. Great rewards await you. Let this be the beginning of your new life.

JESUS’S UNSURPASSED LOVE

Do you know who God is? Do you know what His purpose for creation is? What is the greatest thing about God? It would take the whole bible to thoroughly answer these questions so we will only cover some very important high points.

If you have yet to receive Christ into your life then all these points are of the utmost importance to you and your family!

The first thing we learn about God in Genesis 1:1 He was there from the beginning and that He created the heavens and the earth. But does it say who He is? This is better explained in other passages of the bible. In John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

The apostle John talks about the Word and that Word was Jesus Christ.

In other scripture we learn what God is like and the most important characteristic about Him. Very plainly He is the epitome of love.  1 John 4:8, 16 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

God even emphasizes how important love is.

 1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Let make sure we understand that Gods love and the love defined by the world are totally different. The love of the world is sensual, emotional, self seeking, lustful, and covetous. God’s love is explained this way. John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. This is exactly what God did when He sent His Son to die in our place on the cross. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus loved all men so much He willingly gave His life for us that we might live.

Galatians 1: 3-5        Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

We have now come to the most important part!

If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life take the time, now, find a private place and ask God to help you understand what being saved is all about. He, in all His love, will show you the way. Trust Him! Believe Him! Accept Him! He is ready with all His heart to give you His greatest gift. His GRACE! It is undeserved pardon for all your sins past, present, and future.  You will be a new holy creation for God the Father and your citizenship will immediately be in heaven.

2 Corinthians 6:2 For He says: ” In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Don’t wait any longer for Jesus is at the door waiting to come in!

2 Thessalonians 3:5 Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

Welcome to the family of God!

WORK FOR GOD GREAT RETIREMENT BENEFITS

What better retirement benefits can you get than these? Working for  Jesus Christ really does have its perks!

 We get a new body. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

We share Christ’s throne. Revelation 3:21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

We share His glory. 1 Peter 5:4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

We receive a great reward in heaven. Luke 6:23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven,

You will be given a high position in heaven.  Revelation 3:12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God

You will receive eternal life!  Revelation 2:7 I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.

God be praised! Join Him, surrender your life to Jesus Christ and be saved, share His everlasting retirement benefits.

I pray you are blessed by God and are called to His eternal kingdom.

CALLING THE UNSAVED OF THE WORLD

Through internet evangelism this message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed to the unsaved of the world.

There are great rewards awaiting those who respond to Christ!

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. (The unsaved of the world)

On this day I speak out publicly to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ as given to us by the Holy scriptures. 1Corinthians 15:1-4

  • By this Gospel you are saved. This is the good news of the kingdom of God.
  • Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He shed His blood for the remission of all the world’s sins past, present, and future. He sacrificed Himself for us while we were yet in our sins because of His great love for mankind. Christ became our eternal atonement!
  • Christ was buried but His body never saw the corruption of the grave. We are buried in a watery grave by baptism in memorial to His being buried.
  • Christ rose from the grave on the third day according to the scriptures and ascended to His new throne of glory. We are raised a new creature to a newness of life and our citizenship is forever in heaven.

None can come to Christ unless God the Father draws them to Him.

 John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him

When you are drawn to Christ you must repent and confess that you are a sinner.

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

If you are reading this and you have never been saved then you are being drawn to Jesus Christ at this moment. You have a crown waiting for you don’t lose it by not responding to this call to salvation now!

TRUST CHRIST!

Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation

HE WILL GIVE YOU THE VICTORY!

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

There are Christian churches all over the world. There is probably one very close to you and their doors are open to anyone who wants to attend every Sunday. Go and feel something you will never feel anywhere else.

THE “WHAT IFS” OF SALVATION NOW

What if I told you that there will be no more wars, famine, disease, crime, global warming, tears, sorrow, or death. Would that interest you? What if there was no more need for divorce or remarriage and abortions. Wouldn’t it be desirable to have a society like that? Besides all of that wouldn’t it be nice to have a great reward given to you, a new name, new body that never gets sick, a new home for free, set on a throne as a king, live forever and share all the great glory of the Creator God and be as He is.
All you have to do is believe that Jesus is the Son of God, confess your sins and receive Jesus into your life as your Master and King. Jesus will then give you the free gift of eternal life and citizenship in heaven immediately. Pray to Jesus that He will come into your life and do all these things for you. Even before you do this, know that Jesus has already shed His blood and died on the cross for you in advance. All your sins have already been forgiven and now He wants you to confess that you are a sinner and want to be clean of all iniquity and receive salvation.
Matthew 3: 16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
It is up to you to choose life or death. Life for eternity with God or cast into the lake of eternal fire.

Choose life now! Pray to Jesus now! Don’t hesitate just do it! Time is getting short!

WHAT IS FAITH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

Let’s look at a brief definition of these two Christian virtues. The key word here is “brief” as the complete Holy bible is about faith and righteousness.

  • Faith is a secure and unquestioning belief in God, a trusting acceptance of God’s will and truth.

  • Righteousness is being spiritually and morally upright; without guilt or sin.

We receive salvation and hope of eternal life by the grace and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

We become a new creation different from all others in the world. We are unique as we have eternal life in us now. We will go on living even after this corruptible body we are entombed in returns to the dust of the ground. We need the righteousness of Christ in us as our righteousness is described by God as a filthy rag.  Isaiah 64:6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags. But through the grace of Christ we are made Holy, sanctified, and a temple of the Holy Spirit. The perfect, sinless body of Christ resides in us NOW. We need to be reminded of this that we are Holy, belonging to Jesus Christ, bought and paid for with the high price of His blood. We are no longer of this world. We are citizens of heaven.

Galatians 3:7-9, 14 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Romans 4:5, 11 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness

As I said earlier we need to be reminded and how are we reminded? God’s Word says by preaching!

Romans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ” How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

The preaching of faith and righteousness is for all men whether they are lost or saved. We are to grow in the grace and righteousness of Jesus Christ. Those of us who are saved are all preachers of righteousness we are called to be priests of God. Spread the truth of faith and righteousness for all the earth to hear.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

The fields are ripe for the harvest and needs many workers!

Christian Metamorphosis

Have you ever read the story about how butterflies go through a life cycle known as complete metamorphosis. The life cycle stages that they go through include: egg, larva, pupa, and adult.
The butterfly lays a very tiny fragile egg on the leaf of the milkweed plant. The egg then begins to grow and change into the larvae (caterpillar). After a short while the caterpillar excretes a substance that covers its whole body. This substance protects its body as it goes through a miraculous change. Then a most beautiful creation appears in the form of a fabulous butterfly.

We humans are very much like that caterpillar worm until God attracts our attention and we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. He sends His Holy Spirit to spin a protective cocoon over us and we begin to be transformed into a new creation that will burst forth into a glorious new body into the Kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Philippians 3:21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body,
1 Corinthians 15: 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

We shall see Him as He is and be as He is, we will share all His glory in the Kingdom of God.

John 17:22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
1 Peter 3:4… with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

We become a beautiful, gentle and quiet spirit in the family of God.

BE BORN AGAIN RECEIVE THE REWARD

God will supply your needs

God wants you to be born again into royalty, to reside in the holy glory of God with a new citizenship, body, mansion, reward, throne, glory, and eternal life.

  • 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation
  • Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven
  • 1 Corinthians 15:35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
  • John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
  • Matthew 5:12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven
  • Revelation 3:21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne
  • John 17:22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
  • John 10:28 And I give them eternal life,
Your reward is waiting for you! Don’t lose it! It is there for the taking!

What do you do when you have no hope left?

2-Samuel_22-33 God is my strenght and power

This was a real legitimate question by a young lady on Yahoo’s Question and Answers!

Here are some of the answers given as suggestions of hope. It is not surprising that the last thing anyone wants to hear about is religion. All want to use the carnal human approach to help the person. Each one uses their own understanding of the world around them and their experiences to try to encourage the person. Some literally shocked me with their comments. Here are some of the things they told the young lady.

1 “you have already received many wonderful answers and some not so good ones too. I agree that, if you are without hope, you may have a psychological or medical imbalance and it is important to rule that out by seeing a professional. When hope is gone, a person needs something to ‘believe’ in. Search your soul for a positive thought and let it flow further – into a belief. It could be as simple as looking at the stars and moon and realizing that many people are looking at the same stars and moon as you are.”

2 “Well, there are two choices. You either end your miserable life, or you take a step in the right direction and reach out to others in need. Doing something nice for someone else, even when you feel you have nothing to give, is always rewarding, and you would be surprised at how much hope it will give you.”

3 “Oh, please… do we have to throw God at the girl and make it sound like that’s the answer? 
As if God is going to come down and throw his arms around her and make everything better… ’cause gee, that’s what he does, right? That’s why everything is so perfect in this world and why everyone that believes in him so much is such a perfect person, right? Here’s a better answer. 
Take a good long look in the mirror at yourself and realize that there is hope. And there’s hope because YOU won’t allow yourself to think any more that there’s not. 
Trust in yourself… and trust in your best friends to be there for you.” 

4 “Count your blessings – reformat your thoughts and think of good things that have happened to you. Do something stupid (but harmless) that you haven’t done since you were a kid” 

5 “ACCEPTANCE is the only answer to such a predicament. 99.9% of emotional problems (unless you have a recognized mental condition), stem from not wanting/wishing to accept reality.”

If I was hurting as this person seemed to be, the suggestions above would have been like being hit in the stomach with a sledge hammer. They don’t give good answers because they themselves don’t have hope! Since they don’t want God in their lives they only follow the worldly course of; eat, drink, and be merry because when they die they believe it is all over. They don’t believe in life after death and frantically try to do all they can in this life while they can.

But God does say there is hope for those who are willing to let Him into their lives but there is no hope for those who do not.  Job 11:18,20 “Then you would trust, because there is hope; And you would look around and rest securely.  But the eyes of the wicked will fail, And there will be no escape for them; And their hope is to breathe their last.”

Hope takes on a whole new meaning when God explains in Colossians: 1:5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven,  27 which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

That glory is something very special! God performs a miracle in your life to the effect that God says in 1 Timothy 4:10 For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

God wants to emphasize your hope more succinctly as He states again in Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul

That great anchor is a promise so amazing and encouraging because Jesus Christ did something that utterly guarantees that we will live eternally with Him and His Father in heaven. Jesus being fully God came to the earth and took on the form of a man to shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins, died on the cross for us while we were still sinners so that we might live, was buried and in the grave for three days and then was raised to life and ascended to heaven to set on the throne of God with His Father. Jesus sent back to the earth the great Comforter, the Holy Spirit to dwell in believers filled with faith in Christ to give encouragement, peace, and hope. It is a guarantee of our salvation and resurrection to eternal life.

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

This hope cleanses you from all the pressures, stresses, and problems of this world freeing you from the bondage that the world heaps upon you refreshing your soul.

1 John 3:3 And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

YES! That is why we need to throw God at the girl because He is the answer!

WHO AM I?

 

Who am I? Really, who am I? I was born in iniquity and conceived in sin!  (Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.) When I grew up and experienced the world I was saturated with its unholy, immoral, and materialistic system. Believing this to be the norm I immersed myself in its carnal ways.  (Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.) Mistakenly I thought the ultimate joy was having all the immoral and carnal things of this world. (2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy) After some time I found myself miserable and unhappy, unable to attain the freedom to do as I wanted in the world. I looked at my beautiful wife and wondered why I treated her the way I did. I looked at my baby son and wondered what kind of life waited for him. I suddenly felt like the lowest of the lowest of men.  I was sick of everything I knew. Something inside me caused me to do something I had never done before. I grabbed my wife’s hand and knelt beside our bed and said: “God, there has got to be something better than this. Please show us what it is.” My heart was hurting! (1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.)

After a short time my wife and I became associated with a church and God took complete charge of our lives from that time to the present. We went through a transitional period from an old way to a new way and looked down upon by some who knew us. (1 Peter 4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you) But now we have a loving family of Godly friends in great abundance. (Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God)

Someone might read this and decide to find out for themselves how to be released from the world as we have and be filled with a joy immeasurable by letting Jesus take the weight of the world’s sin off of their shoulders and putting it all on His shoulders. (John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!) Just follow the message in the Apostle Peter’s first sermon: (Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.) By the grace of God you will be raised up a new creation and walk in newness of life, no longer of this world, but your citizenship will be in heaven from that time forward with a residence in heaven waiting for you to occupy.

Who am I? Who are you? We are all the children of God!

Praise the Lord God and give Him all the glory! Amen!
