Once in a senior Sunday school class, a man who was a long term member made the statement that he had the rapture and he didn’t need anything else.
Sadly, there are many Christians who feel that “once saved always saved” excuses them from any other duties as a Christian. That is not so!
They lack understanding of the new covenant that Jesus Christ preached about in the “Sermon on the Mount.” Under the old law you literally had to commit an act of sin to be guilty, but under the new covenant Christ makes it very clear that if a person harbors evil in their heart they are guilty of sinning. Everything we do in life should be spiritual, not of the flesh. But how can we do this? Through Jesus who lives in us! Jesus made the supreme sacrifice once and for all so our sins are forgiven and remains our advocate forever.
Hebrews 10:10 We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.
14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.
17 Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.
Matthew 5:21 You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.

How is it possible to be perfect as God our Father is perfect?
1John 3: 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
The whole book of 1 John is a further expansion of the spiritual laws of Christ.

One hundred years ago America barely had lights and radios so world and national news was hard to come by. The news papers were the main source of news and it was usually months old. People, in general, were concerned mostly about local news. There just was not a whole lot to boggle the mind in those days. But now, the average person gets news about all kinds of things worldwide, nationwide, and locally and the average mind has a great deal of knowledge to sift through.
— Today, “anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S.,” affecting around 40 million adults — almost 1 in 5 people. —
—They also noted that millennials were the most anxious generation. In 2018, the same poll was repeated. Anxiety was shown to have risen again by another 5 percent. Millennials were revealed to still be the most anxious generation. —
The average person is spending more time thinking through all the things their minds encounter everyday than ever in history and subject to more concern and anxiety. They have to plan more and make more decisions suffering the responsibility for it all.
What is the best answer to this problem? Could there be a solution? After all, this problem is a social and cultural shock!
Something has to change! God says in the Bible: 1 Corinthians 7:32 I want you to be free from anxieties.
God said and the Apostle Paul wrote: Philippians 4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
God changes everything!
Luke 15:10 So I can guarantee that God’s angels are happy about one person who turns to God and changes the way he thinks and acts.”
Only God can change the mind of men! When God looks into the mind and sees surrender, He immediately calls the person to Christ.
John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Do you want change in your life? Surrender to Jesus Christ and pray for Him to come into your life and you will: Be anxious for nothing.— Philippians 4:6
There have been surveys taken asking people if they were Christians. There were many who said no but of the many who said yes there were discrepancies. For example, there were some who felt they were Christians simply because they believed in God. So, is the issue about who believes in God?

In the shifting spiritual landscape of the United States, Christians too can no longer assume that their friends and neighbors believe in the God of the Bible, if they believe in God at all.
Though God regularly gets evoked in prayer, platitudes, and phrases like “God bless America” and “in God we trust,” Americans—even within Christianity—have different conceptions of who God is and how he operates.
A Pew survey released today found that how people view God—and how they believe God interacts with them—shifts by religious affiliation, gender, and political party.
Even in an era where more of the nation doesn’t ascribe to a higher power at all (10%) or believes in some sort of higher power or spiritual force (33%), a slim majority of Americans (56%) still believe in God “as described in the Bible,” according to the Pew report.
According to Pew’s report, only 32 % of white Democrats believe in God as described in the Bible as compared to 72% of white republicans who believe in God as described in the Bible. That is very eye opening assuming the accuracy of the pole!
Understand that there is no mention of the Holy Spirit and without the Spirit nothing is understood or known.
John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
God’s pole is more accurate, believe God! Man’s pole talks about God but leaves out Christ when talking about Christians. They don’t understand the spiritual and that Jesus Christ is God.
Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
Jesus and the Holy Spirit actually dwell in Christians waiting the time they will also be joined to the Father! Therefore, two members of the Trinity dwell in the incorruptible inner man.
Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin.
Jesus is everything to a Christian! We must surrender our lives to Him and follow Him!
John 15: He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
If you are not a Christian and want to be then confess that you are a sinner and that Jesus is the Son of God and surrender your life to Him right now in prayer and you will be saved!
Dear heavenly Father, Please reach into the hearts of those who will read this blog and convict them into believing in Jesus as their Savior, in Jesus name, amen!
Colossians 3:1 Seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
8 Put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
Do not let these things rule you because of political, social, or cultural leanings put them to death as it says in verse 5.
If you want all these things to be better, be better than the things you want to be better. Now we reach the crux of the matter! You cannot do it alone. Man is not able! But with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Humble yourself before God and confess that you are a sinner and He will look down and see and hear.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Confess your sins now and your life will change. All the heaviness of discouragement, sadness, and helplessness will be a thing of the past. You will feel something you never felt before. FREEDOM! Receive total freedom from the shackles of sin and the constant pull of Satan the Devil who wants you to stay in this worlds system that he controls.
JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY ANSWER! ACCEPT HIM NOW!

Jesus came to this earth as a flesh and blood man, at about the age of thirty; he started His ministry that only lasted three and a half years. He was taken by the Jews and given to the Romans and charged with treason!Matthew 27:28-31 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.He was scourged with a “cat of nine tails” until the flesh of His body was ripped to pieces. Jesus nearly bled out and was unable to carry His cross to Golgotha they found man of Cyrene, Simon by name and had him carry the cross for Jesus. The Roman soldiers nailed Jesus to the cross with huge nails in His hands and feet, later a soldier rammed a spear into Jesus’ side.
Jesus willingly allowed all these things to happen and died so you could be saved!
By His stripes you are healed! He shed His blood so your sins would be forgiven! You are the ones who are sinners and deserve to die but Jesus willingly took your place and died for you! He was in the tomb for three days and rose on the third day, resurrected to life and ascended to the throne of God in heaven and lives ruling over all things.
He did it all for you so you could be saved and live in glory with God for eternity!
Receive Him as your personal savior today! No matter whom you are or what you have done, Jesus loves you and wants to set you free from sin! Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and you want Jesus to come into your life. Surrender yourself to Jesus now and receive eternal life. He is waiting to receive you now! Tomorrow may be too late!
Dear heavenly Father please help sinners understand this message and respond to it for all the glory it will give to them and You! In Jesus name, amen!
Are you intense, stressed out and have hypertension as you strive to achieve your goals in life? Do you think about what every new day has in store for you? Have you planned for contingencies in life such as mid life crisis? I ask that in particular as I did not prepare for it and was totally not ready for the things that took place. The problem was, I didn’t understand how certain events in life can produce enormous pressure on me and not really be aware what was causing it; such as, my daughter’s wedding, my brother having a massive stroke and almost died, my son joining the army instead of accepting a full scholarship to USC, my father died, and then my mother died. There is more but that should suffice to get the point across. It caused me to unconsciously become depressed and not be on top of my game in society. In my case, I was not familiar with mid life crisis and didn’t realize what affect it was having on me until I asked one of my church elders for advice about my condition. After having asked me a lot of questions, he asked me if I was familiar with mid life crisis and I answered, not really. The first thing he did was pray with me about it asking God to give me understanding what I was going through, then he told me that I was having full blown case of mid life crisis. Jesus is very familiar with being stressed out and understands what we go through. He knew what was waiting for Him on the cross as He asked the Father to take away the problem but always submitted Himself to His God.Matthew 26:39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” James 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray.
He explained in great detail what it is all about and how it works. This was all new to me! God has much to say about such things in our life.

God revealed all of this to King Solomon so he could record it for us to learn. The problem exists that people do not want to believe God. Therefore, they do not receive the blessings God wants to give them and they suffer many of the afflictions mentioned above.Psalms 78:22 Because they did not believe in God, And did not trust in His salvation. But if they give themselves over to God and believe what He says they will receive His help in time of need.Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

The bible says that the way the world is today is the way it was in the days of Noah. Things will probably get much worse as the end has not yet come upon the world as described in Matthew 24. In Matthew 24 Jesus Himself answers the question of when the end shall come and what it would be like. If you believe the Word of God is true and that Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1); then, the world in Noah’s day was as technologically equal to or more so than the world today.They had about two thousand years to develop technology and lived to be about eight or nine hundred years old, just think what Einstein could have accomplished in nine hundred years. These are what I like to refer to as provoking thoughts.
Mark 16:15 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Why these provoking thoughts now? Because so many things mentioned in Matthew 24have already happened and are happening as I write and there are billions of people in this world who are unsaved and God clearly states in Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. We have a God given command to make sure everyone on earth has an opportunity to know about the saving grace and gospel of Jesus Christ so they can share in the glory God has waiting for them. God promises eternal life, a new perfect body, a new name, a new residence, a new city, a new world, a great reward, you will be a king and a priest and share His glory and His throne.
Jesus came to this earth and became human flesh to establish His Church and shed His blood on the cross for the remission of all sins while all mankind was still in their sins. Jesus died on that cross in your place so you could live forever and receive the promises mentioned above.
Unsaved people are having the gospel shared with them by radio, TV, in the church pulpit, missionaries and by personal witnessing. But the fact remains that there are not enough unsaved people being reached by these means. But when God made the internet available, for the first time in history every household in the world can be reached directly or indirectly as never before.
If you are one of those that is being reached by the internet for the first time and are hearing about salvation through Jesus Christ right now, then praise be to God because you have the blessing of hearing about the God who created the heavens and the earth. Who loves you so much, that His Son Jesus willingly died on the cross, as the supreme atonement sacrifice for all mankind, so you could be saved and live in heaven with Him forever.
I pray that God open your heart to His Truth, now, as you read this and receive Christ as your savior. Pray for this salvation and you will receive it. In Jesus name, amen!
